Always Listening

Description

Always Listening is an interplay of the senses. The traditional handholds of the pot (touch), are replaced with ears (hearing). The pot references ancient Greek “eye-cups,” which, when used for drinking, become a mask over the face, with painted eyes and handles as ears that anthropomorphize the pot. The unique glaze pattern is a result of the raku firing process, creating unpredictable cracks and glaze formations.
